A day without music?
Who cares if the weather is rainy in Germany or foggy in the UK? Whenever you feel blue, you can turn on your CD-player and you immediately feel better! People of diverse nationalities and with different feelings listen to music everyday, just like I do. There are a lot of awesome singers and great bands from the UK so it was quite hard to choose my TOP 5 but here they are:
James Morrison - You Give Me Something
He began to play the guitar at the age of 13. Ever since the release of his album Undiscovered on 31 July 2006, he has been one of the most successful British soul singers. He was nominated for three Brit Awards and he became the Best British Male Solo Artist.

Joss Stone - You Had Me
The 21-year-old R'n'B and soul singer has already won two Brit Awards and was nominated for three Grammys. She sang on the soundtracks for the famous Hollywood blockbusters Bridget Jones and The Fantastic Four. Besides she's a great songwriter and model. Whenever and wherever I hear this song, I just start to sing along. http://uk.youtube.com
Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten
The voice to melt radios! With over 6.5 million units shifted worldwide, Natasha Bedingfield is the UK's biggest female pop star. Vanity Fair singled her out as the spearhead of a new Britpop invasion. In her songs she sings about daily problems and feelings but she is not the kind of person to mouth well-worn cliches in her lyrics.

Coldplay- Speed Of Sound
Coldplay, an alternative and piano rock band formed in London in 1988, has sold over 40 million albums. Their music is often compared with Oasis but they describe their style as "very heavy soft rock". They succeeded 20 years ago and they're still going strong today.

Blue- Breathe Easy
Even though I'm not atypical boy band fan and apart from the fact that the band decided to split in 2004, I have to admit that I love this song. The English pop boy band sold over 7 million records in four years.

These were my TOP 5 but there a lot of other British entertainers who are worth listenig to. I'd recommend Robbie Williams, The X-Factor winner Leona Lewis or the boyband Take That. And don't forget: Music makes the people come together!
