Cultural Exchange Ambassador Programme – application process guidelines

In order to take part in this programme, Language Assistants fill out an application form, which includes a teacher reference. This page outlines the application process for the Cultural Exchange Ambassador Programme 2020-21.
Before you start with your online application, please read our Help page as it contains important information on creating an account, logging in/out of, saving, previewing and downloading your application. Please also refer to this page in case you experience any technical difficulties.
The following application process guidelines cover the steps and documentation needed to apply for this programme.
What kind of information do we ask for?
In the online application form we will ask for information about:
- your details in Germany (including your host school)
- your motivation & experience
- your initial project ideas or interests
As part of the application we will need you to accept our terms and conditions as laid out in the following web pages, which you should have read before submitting your application:
There will also be a page at the end of the application, with a teacher reference form which we will ask you to download. A teacher at your school needs to provide you with a reference and sign the form. It is your responsibility to provide your teacher with this form, collect the completed and signed reference from them, and upload this onto the application platform. It is important to note that your application will only be considered complete if this signed document is included as part of your online application as it shows your school’s commitment to the programme.
Timeline: What happens once an application has been submitted?
Once we have received your complete application you will be sent a confirmation email. (Please regularly check the ‘spam’ / ‘junk’ folder in your email account, as acknowledgement emails from the online applications system are occasionally filtered into the spam folder.)
After the deadline, we will select successful candidates and will contact you within a week of the deadline to notify you of the outcome of your application.
