We made it, eventually, two hours later than planned, only to meet even more delays at passport control and then one lost bag! Exhausted, all disappeared with their partners.
Day One – we got to know our school base and we learned a lot more about Berlin, spending a good three hours walking around the city, hearing about Berlin’s fascinating history as we visited Anhalter Bahnhof, the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the Holocaust memorial and Brandenburger Tor. We even stood with one foot in East Berlin and one in the West! A fab first day and our guide was very impressed with the thoughtful, intelligent questions he was asked!
